Sexual fiction is an important strategy for representing and imagining a non-normative sexual politics. We are dissident and postfeminist activists from Chile that create sexual fictions in ironic and provocative ways. Our mission is to denaturalize common sense and put sexual categories into crisis.
In this bilingual activity (Spanish/English) we will show six representative videos and promote a discussion about political activism in sexual dissidence and post-feminist strategies principally in Chile. We propose to initiate a discussion from the videos to understand the strategies used by CUDS and other groups of sexual dissidence to resist latino american patriarchal culture and produce performances and critical actions on abortion, colonialism, christian repression, pornography and obligatory heterosexuality.
